43rd Founder's Day Celebrations

43rd founder's day celebrations second day

43rd founder’s day was celebrated at Guru Nanak Fifth Centenary School, Mussoorie with due fervor and enthusiasm. On this auspicious occasion, Mr. Dinesh Aggarwal, the honorable minister for IT, Sports and youth development, Uttarakhand Govt. was the Chief guest who, while addressing the big gathering of students, parents, school management members, media members and other distinguished guests stressed on the need of both financial and moral support to be given to such educational institutions as GNFC School which have been working in a very constructive mode to impart education to the society. Dr. Manmohan Singh Atwal, the honourable Vice Chancellor of Eternal University, Himachal Pradesh was the guest of honour this morning.

      On this occasion, S. Jaspal Singh, the Chairman of Guru Nanak Fifth Centenary School Society,   Mrs. ND Sawhney, the Principal, Mr. AK Tiwari, the Headmaster, Mr. Sunil Bakshi, the Administrative officer were also present. The Principal delivered the annual school report and the Chairman, in his speech, promised for better and result oriented curriculum during the coming academic sessions.

Mr. Manmohan Singh Mal, the former chairman of Nagar Palika Parisad Mussoorie, Dr. Sunil Sanon were also present  when the students of GNFCS presented different colourful programmes like bhangra, Punjabi gidda, Hindi play, English play and many others. There was an exhibition put up by the children of GNFCS. Working models based on scientific applications, ecofriendly projects, social science and a variety of art and craft works carried out in the various hobby classes throught the year were the centre of attraction. The guests, parents and other visitors applauded the works of the children. 

Cock House trophy was won by Nalwa house in boys category and by Attari House for girls. Gurbani trophy was won by Ranjit House in boys group and By Ajit House for girls. March past trophy was won by Nalwa House in boys category and by Ajit House for girls. Academic trophy was won by Ranjit House in boys category and by Attari House for girls.
