LEADERSHIP EXPLORATION AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
GNFCS ORGANISED LEAD – LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AND EXPLORATION PROGRAM ALONG WITH SESSIONS ON CAREER GUIDANCE FOR STUDENTS OF CLASSES IX TO XII IN SHAGRILLA, ON 16 – 18 MAY 2014.
‘Men make history and not the other way around. In periods where there is no leadership, society stands still. Progress occurs when courageous, skillful leaders seize the opportunity to change things for the better’. —Harry S. Truman
Today's students are stepping into a world that is much riskier than the one we knew. We are beginning to recognize that our current challenges go much deeper than the recent drop in the stock market. Our students will find themselves in a micropreneurial age. They will have multiple jobs and even multiple careers during their lifetimes. In short, they will need to be equipped to make their own opportunities. They will need the skills, knowledge, and qualities that leadership programs cultivate: self-confidence, a positive attitude, communication skills, appreciation for lifelong learning, creativity, conflict-resolution, team-building skills, ethics, understanding of economics, and more. Leadership programs recognize that the career ladder of old is broken.
Recognizing this need we at GNFCS organized LEAD Program with sessions on Career Guidance for student of classes IX to XII from 16.5.2014 to 18.5.2014. The program was conducted by Mrs Jyotsana Bhardaj , Anupama Sathpathy, Deepa chopra Sharma and ITI Bajaj.
They all have been actively involved with Schools, for life skills training, value education, career guidance programs and providing Guidance and Counseling services.
All of them have been members, resource personnel for various teacher training programs and parent workshops across the length and breadth of the country.
Together they specialize in interactive, experiential workshops.
The interactive workshop for three days, was full of interesting activities and learning opportunities. It concluded with the career counseling and guidance session. The children appreciated the workshop which proved the workshop to be fruitful to explore their potentials.
